Taser Deaths
When an individual is being apprehended by the police, the arresting officers may use a taser on the individual if they deem the person to be threatening to their safety. While an effective weapon, the taser may be extremely dangerous if operated by an inexperienced person. Individuals may suffer serious injury or even death if tasered.

The Dangers of Tasers
While nothing seems inherently safe about a device that sends a high voltage of electricity through your body, tasers are designed to send 50,000 volts of electricity through the body, theoretically a non-fatal amount. However, some individuals may be more sensitive to electric shock.
This is only one of the dangers tasers present. Some police officers may choose to taser an individual several times. In these cases, an individual may experience more than 50,000 volts of electricity, which may put the individual in cardiac arrest.
The area of the body where an individual gets tasered makes a difference, too. While there is no evidence that being tasered in the chest is a direct cause of death, some past cases have listed tasers to the chest as a factor in death. Inexperienced police officers may taser individuals in the chest, unaware of the possible health implications.
