A former state trooper is on trial in New York for his involvement in an accident that killed a Pennsylvania woman last year.

The retired state trooper is accused of causing the accident that killed the Pennsylvania woman when he was driving his vehicle the wrong way on a road.  After the accident, the man was arrested because it was determined he was driving while intoxicated.  He also faces charges of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. 

The accident took place near the Pennsylvania and New York border.
