Posted on Monday, July 6th, 2009 at 4:41 am

A police officer in Pittsburgh has recently turned himself in for causing a fatal accident on July of 2007.  The officer recently turned himself in, accompanied with his lawyer,  on Friday.  The man fled the scene of the accident, and called a friend to go and check on the person that he hit.

The man had been with the police officer for 15 years.  The man still remains on the force as of now, although it is likely to change in the future.

More information should soon be released related to the investigation into the hit and run, and the charges that the officer will soon face.
