A driver died and his two passengers were injured early Sunday morning in a car crash in Philadelphia's Frankford section, authorities said. The 18-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, police said, and crashed into the back of a parked tow truck. The accident occurred around 5:30 a.m., authorities said.
All three were taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver died at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children two hours later, authorities said. His two passengers, a 17-year-old boy and a 24-year-old woman, were treated and released.
